    I recently started to attend Core40 HV in the early mornings but after experiencing this class, might stick with the Marina location even though it’s out of the way . I greatly appreciated this instructor as she allowed space for modifications if needed. We don’t all have the same fitness needs, experiences, and goals. Pushing to go FULL ON AGRO THOR BEAST mode is not always appropriate for everyone. This class at the Marina location was an amazing start to the new year.

    Friendly atmosphere and attentive instructor and owner! The owner immediately greeted me and asked about any injuries, and the instructor did a great job about making sure everyone’s form was on point. The owner also gave me some great resources related to my own injury and desire to return to running. One of the regulars introduced herself right off the bat since I had never been before, which was so nice! It seems like they have created a strong community. And of course the class gave me a solid workout! Beginner-friendly but easy for more advanced people to push themselves. I also liked that they tape out sections on the floor for people to space out! It makes it much easier to not encroach on other people’s space.

    Apart from the instructor walking right into my arm while I was standing in a stationary spot doing light weight tricept extensions, the class was good. If there wasn’t enough space to walk around me, walking pass the front of the machine would have been a great option.     I greatly enjoyed and benefited from Victorias style of instruction. I appreciated her neutrality and that she didn’t project her will onto the class. This allowed me to be met where I’m at. She gave us a well organized frame work to work with and was extremely helpful with form corrections without aggressively pushing for more weight and intensity (which was not what I prioritize over form and proper use of musculature.) I’m grateful that Victoria verbalized openness to set our own intentions for class.

    This class is challenging but so fun that you won’t realize how challenging it was until a few hours later when the soreness sets in. The atmosphere is very welcoming and helpful. There is zero judgement. TIP: wear athletic shorts that are fitting; bring socks that have grip if you don’t like being in bare feet; if you’re driving, come at least 10 min early to find parking.
