    I just took the Bodypump class at Defin8 for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. The instructor did a great job leading the class,he kept the energy high and provided helpful modifications, which was really useful as a newcomer. I could tell I got an awesome full body workout, especially in my legs and core. The studio itself had a motivating vibe, and the other participants were friendly.

    I can see why F45 with such a high score right after the trial! All the staffs there are being super friendly and encouraging. Super clear instructions for new joiner with the help of video and the coach still keep an eye of everyone even the class size is not small at all. 45 mins class well spend in a fun way! Washroom and changing room are clean and bright. Highly recommend to everyone!

    Another class by Eva. She’s always a good instructor. She made sure everyone’s following. She kept motivating us while doing some slightly more difficult positions. However, I think it’s time to upgrade the machines, one of them is quite ripped and a bit unstable, and it’s a bit dislocated.

    Carol is very detailed and patient. She demonstrated and adjusted each move with great detail, ensured that correct form and alignment before moving onto the actual drill. While she might sound a bit blunt to some, I really appreciate her guidance. Learnt a lot on posture and different muscle groups from her, looking forward to return and train with her again =)

    Facilities are new, clean and super aesthetic. Showers and lockers are on different floors that require key cards to access. You need to sign for at reception on the ground floor so best to come a little bit earlier. Class was small and trainer was encouraging. Could do with a few more mirrors though as it’s hard to check your form if you’re in the back.

    The instructor, Will, is observant, friendly, and knowledgable. Everyone in the gym was welcoming as well. I haven’t done CrossFit in a while but Will was adaptive and gave me modifications of the programme, but still make sure you challenge yourself enough. If I could stay in HK, I would definitely come back!

    Friendly instructor. Maybe a bit too friendly? I felt like the rest times were really long and not just because he was correcting form but because he and the other two girls (who seemed to be regulars) started conversing. But to be fair the class went on for an extra 30 mins as well (on the assumption it was only supposed to be an hour). I would’ve like it more if he corrected during the time you were doing it rather than the breaks. The following has nothing to do with the rating a chose but just something I needed to mention, I’m pretty good at conversational canto but really struggled to understand technical terms and what I can only assume were muscle names and things - so it was a bit hard to follow his corrections - has nothing to do with how I rated since I’m sure many would like the extra tidbits of info but it would have been easier for me if he simpled it down to “hands x width apart” “legs wider” “squeeze your core” and where I should be feeling it rather than trying to understand what he was talking about how because it’s a cable and something you can pull down more instead of shifting your body back (?) honestly I didn’t understand all that much. Space was nice and clean :$ felt inviting.
