    Wowza! Visiting from LA and so glad I popped in! The playlist was fire and the staff is so friendly! It was a different style than the classes in LA, with more dancing and less resistance call out, but you can push yourself and I still burned more calories than the hard core instructor classes at Barry’s and SoulCycle Santa Monica while having so much fun(thanks applewatch)! Will def revisit :)

    Amaka was amazing! She had such great energy and was so encouraging. I loved how she did a little ice breaker in the beginning of class! I’ve been to several Solidcore classes and that was the first time I’ve run into that! It brought something fun and new to class! I also struggled with some dizziness as we moved between exercises and Amaka was very attentive and checked on me discretely during and after class. I really appreciate her concern! I can tell how genuine she is!

    Payton was phenomenal! I was in town visiting and will definitely make it a point to try and come take her class again in the future. It was pretty challenging, there were things I had to tap out of but Lauren did a good job of offering modifications most of the time. Gorgeous space too.     The class was intense, but fun and our instructor gave very specific tips to get our best work out of us and also went around and adjusted people which I find super helpful but not a lot of instructors do that in class. I’ve had her class before and she still A+. Will definitely be back and highly recommended for any level. I recently had surgery and was able to move to get a great workout at a beginner level.

    A little too fast paced and the workout routine felt more like a choreographed dance so if you are not exactly a graceful dancer, you will feel a little lost...I didnt like how quickly it moved bc most of the time, I felt like I was playing catch up. The instructor is doing the class so she is not going to correct your form...having said that, the vibe WAS welcoming and you dont feel singled out despite being a newcomer..The heat is just the right temperature and you certainly will have an adrenaline rush and work out body parts you didnt know you could stretch. I would give ot another try and hope I pick up the moves..

    Jonathan is the BEST. His playlist is so fun and he gives a challenging well rounded class. He’s also so great at giving modifications and making sure pilates is approachable for every body type which isn’t something I’ve experienced in every reformer class. This was my first time in their new second studio and I thought it would be too intimate for my liking but it actually was nice to get more personal attention! I will say the reformers are a bit too close, I bumped into my neighbor a few times. But Onyx has my heart and I’ll def be back!
