    I just took the Bodypump class at Defin8 for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. The instructor did a great job leading the class,he kept the energy high and provided helpful modifications, which was really useful as a newcomer.     Sometimes I get too tired or lazy and I think about cancelling the class the day before but each time after class, I'm always always always so glad that I didn't.. because Darren's class ALWAYS ROCKS! His energy is infectious. His playlist so~ thoughtfully curated that it's always awesome beyond words. His moves are superb. He is warm, genuine, funny and he gives little nuggets of life advice. Yes, his choreo can be fast and a little complicated but he is setting the standard of how an absolutely awesome spin class should be. And if you're a beginner don't be afraid, just join Darren's class. He's super nice to beginners and he always give options. And the R10T spin studio has the most beautiful lights and special effects.. I'm telling you it's such a bonus treat. Staff are friendly too. What's not to love? ❤️

    Kenneth's Elevate class is one of the better ones I have attended at YM and I have attended quite a few some of which were not very well thought out and felt all over the place. This one was very well sequenced and everything made sense from the warmup postures to the strength drills and they definitely helped with achieving the final pose. The peak pose was crow & firefly + combinations of/ transitions between these 2. I can already can do titthibasana somewhat decently but I still got some really good pointers and tips to improve my form and even be able to play around with transitions. Great sweat sesh too!

    It was a very interesting experience; using a different machine from the usual reformer I was used too. Room was big and had ample space between the reformers. I liked how they had a towel and spray bottle under each reformers to wipe instead of using the disposable ones. We followed the moves illustrated on the tv at the front of the room. Instructor sometimes does the exercises with us and walks around to correct your form. She counts the reps but not when to breathe in and out. So I suggest having some form of pilates experience will be good before going for this class. The exercises were challenging but it was doable. Instructor also provides options. Although it was a 45min exercise, I felt all my muscles fired up. A full body workout! I love how the exercise ended with a cold towel and the shower rooms have a wet and dry area. Just a small thing to note, the introduction of the machine was done in 5min despite reminding us to arrive 15-20min early.

    Resistance

    The instructor had great energy and was loud and clear in her instructions (though it may be a bit fast for beginners). One thing I liked was that with each movement she will tell us whether to inhale & exhale — great for people like me who unconsciously hold my breath or breathe inconsistently when I'm going through the series of movements. She was constantly looking out for us and adjusting our postures as well.

    It was fun and challenging! I'd consider coming back and get used to 808 step. The staff and coach are also all friendly and welcoming. The only slight issue is that the ClassPass app says class starts at 3pm but as per staff, it officially starts at 3:30pm.

    First time at F45 and it won’t be my last! The instructors are all so nice, helpful and motivating, as well as the classmates who seem like regulars. It’s my first time to try this format which I think is perfect for visual and kinesthetic learners. There are screens with video instructions of each workout you need to do at each pod/station and how long you need to do it / how many reps. The coaches also demo everything and show variations for beginners to advanced. Stage 7 this Saturday was for sure a total workout where my whole body was engaged and it’s 60 minutes vs the usual 45 of functional fitness. Equipment looks relatively clean, lots of alcohol and rags per equipment so you can clean after each use. My main nitpick would be the that the shower room could be better with toiletries and other amenities. Also maybe warm or cold towels can be available to rent. Overall, a lot of very fit members at this gym which tells me that the workouts work! Thank you guys and see you again soon!

    I can see why F45 with such a high score right after the trial! All the staffs there are being super friendly and encouraging. Super clear instructions for new joiner with the help of video and the coach still keep an eye of everyone even the class size is not small at all. 45 mins class well spend in a fun way! Washroom and changing room are clean and bright. Highly recommend to everyone!
