    REFORM8 INFRARED (Multi-level)

    Wow I loved this class! I liked Kevin’s technique: a focus on breath work with small movements with strong impact, choreography that gradually increases difficulty, while giving you options if you’d like to do more or less. It was my first time to use a Balanced Body machine which is like a typical reformer machine except it’s on the ground so it feels more stable and I got deeper stretches. It was also my first trime to try Infrared heat during pilates which is similar to Bikram yoga in a hot room so I definitely sweated it out more and my muscles felt warmer. Facilities are okay, they lend workout towels and there are showers. Met the studio owner who I recognized from YouTube workout videos from the pandemic, they really are passionate about fitness and it was great to finally try their gym. Would love to come back and try the other classes!

    I think the instructor was very nice as she knew I was a first timer and also tbh I wasn’t that strong in my muscles - so she offered me guidance more and also adjusted my posture.     Amazing gym and great class!! The gym itself is super clean and modern with very nice locker rooms and showers. I was welcomed by Noon, who was incredibly friendly and showed me around.     Friendly instructor. Maybe a bit too friendly? I felt like the rest times were really long and not just because he was correcting form but because he and the other two girls (who seemed to be regulars) started conversing. But to be fair the class went on for an extra 30 mins as well (on the assumption it was only supposed to be an hour). I would’ve like it more if he corrected during the time you were doing it rather than the breaks. The following has nothing to do with the rating a chose but just something I needed to mention, I’m pretty good at conversational canto but really struggled to understand technical terms and what I can only assume were muscle names and things - so it was a bit hard to follow his corrections - has nothing to do with how I rated since I’m sure many would like the extra tidbits of info but it would have been easier for me if he simpled it down to “hands x width apart” “legs wider” “squeeze your core” and where I should be feeling it rather than trying to understand what he was talking about how because it’s a cable and something you can pull down more instead of shifting your body back (?) honestly I didn’t understand all that much. Space was nice and clean :$ felt inviting.

    Class was DOPE!!!! This was my first time at Pulmo, but not doing CrossFit. I must say, the attention and care that they give their athletes are TOP NOTCH. Tee was my instructor and she makes sure you get the lift properly and not put too much of a strain on your body. Maurice is motivating!!!! When you wanna quit, he won’t let you. It’s not allowed.
